The full product name is actually ‘Amazing Star Beauty Universe Master Rotary Light Projector’, somewhat long winded I think you’ll agree but you get the idea of what it is! The product is from LightInTheBox.com and the cost at the time of writing is $16.29, alternatively you can choose a variety of currencies including British Pound Sterling and also CA Dollars and AU Dollars.
My expectations were that the patterns would be fairly weak on the ceilings and walls, but I was wrong. They are actually reasonably strong and the patterns are nice. Unfortunately as it spins round it doesn’t spin 100% perfectly in a circle, it has the tiniest movement which means the main centre circle wobbles around a bit, would have been much better if it stayed solid as a rock. Also has a slight humming noise from the mechanism as it rotates which does grain on you if the room is quiet.
You have two choices, which can be turned on/off by switches either side of the base. One is called ‘Star’ and the other ‘LED’. I think that Star is much nicer as it revolves and the patterns move around all over the walls and ceilings. They are both decent though and it is good to have the options.
This little gadget would be great in a kids room, and although it doesn’t feel overly solid (you can’t expect much at this price range) it should last for a while. So I think given it’s cheapness it is reasonable value for money.
If you are thinking about buying from LightInTheBox remember you are buying from a Chinese company, so you may need to also buy adapters should the product need plugging in to be powered (being in the UK I had to buy a plug adapter). Also remember shipping may be a tad slower then buying domestic. But all of this is reflected in the prices as many things are cheaper in China.

Admittedly these are not the best quality pictures, I was struggling with my camera! But they give you an idea of what it is like.
