Tube, Nokia’s First Touchscreen Phone

Posted on 08 April 2008

During the Evans Data Developer Relations conference from Redwood City, California, Nokia had unveiled a prototype, that seems to be the company’s first touchscreen phone. A lot of people claimed that this is just another iPhone clone, as if Apple would have invented the touchscreen.

Nokia Tube will be the first phone to run on a touchscreen optimized Symbian S60 operating system. Besides the new S60, Nokia’s representants have also remembered that Nokia Tube will come with an application that gives you the possibility to upload photos directly from the phone to Internet.

Unfortunately there’s no word regarding the launch date or the price tag, but it is rumored that Nokia Tube will be launched by the end of the year.
