The classic music CD has been gradually replaced with MP3 players. That’s way, few players today are capable of playing CDs, but rather concentrating on smaller and smaller devices, as portable as they can get and with enough storage to put 10 MP3 CDs to shame.
But the CD isn’t dead, as this little concept player proves, named Dual Music Player, which can play MP3s from it’s small harddrive, but also play CDs. The MP3 player is small, according to modern trends, but it can fold like a swiss tool knife, thus permitting the reading of optical disks, as we can observe from the photos. A bit weird of a system. I’m wondering if the CD will be made to bits and pieces in its rotation . . . it will sure make a great visual effect though.

The Dual Music Player concept is interesting, but with all this it shows how obsolete optical disks are at present date. The MP3 is the king of music now, so the only solution would be to convert your CD to digital, and put the box with disks from your childhood next to your dads 7″ vinyls and audio tapes box. Maybe your grandkids can have a kick out of them.

The moving CD. Cool!

That looks dangerous!! What stops it cutting off your fingers like a circular saw!
Haha, good point. It does look pretty intimidating
, no worries i’m sure it won’t get in mass production any time soon. It’s just a concept
