Razer Naga MMO Mouse! You don’t need the sword of destiny, or the codpiece of speed, just this!

For all you Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games players comes an indispensable piece of kit designed and tested by World of Warcraft players and the like.Razer Naga MouseThe Razer Naga Mouse, is GamesCom’s first MMO mouse, and features some cool capabilities if slaying online bad monsters and power crazed dudes is your thing.

The mouse has been optimised with an extra 12 buttons which are customisable to keyboard settings on the computer. In theory, this should make the games more easier to play, and you a more competitive evil doer plot thwarter. According to GamesCom, the mouse enables players to “run rings” around other players who rely on a conventional keyboard to move around, jump, dance, and thwart evil plots.  All that business is so last week!

The mouse comes with its own software for supported titles, that allows profiles to be saved for each in game character or toon that you play.  This way, you can configure all those buttons for every in game command using a combination of the Alt, Ctrl, and shift keys.Razer Megasoma Surface

To add to the MMORG fun, GamesCom, have alsomade a “hybrid gaming mouse mat”, or Megasoma, to give it a more MMORG name. Designed with the durability of a hard surface, yet allowing for the smooth glide of a soft mouse mat.

The silicone construction also allows the mat to be rolled up for portability. So now you can take your mat and mouse and slay bad people at your friend’s house. How you move your computer to their house though is not quite so easy, but hey its a start.

If you are a keen MMORG player then these two items are priced at around £60 (from Amazon.co.uk) for the mouse, and around £35 for the mat. In the USA it is around $80 for the mouse (from Amazon.com) and $30 for the mat.

The video explains the mouse with far more enthusiasm than is healthy.

May the Razer Naga be with you…Always…

This mouse looks sick. Although since I don’t play many MMO’s, there is no reason to pull out 12 buttons. It might be a little overkill for COD4.
