The sales figures for consoles have been released by NPD (a leading North American market research company) for June 2009 and make good reading for one company – Nintendo, filling the top of the charts.
Here are the sales figures:
- DSi – 424,000
- DS Lite – 342,000
- XBox 360 – 240,000
- Wii – 361,700
- PS3 – 164,700
- PS2 – 152,700
- PSP – 163,500
Looks like the Sony PSP Go is going to have to be on top form when it is released on October 1st. Nintendo said:
“In the United States in June, DS and DSi combined to sell more than 766,000 units, more than all current-generation consoles combined.”
Nothing like a good old bit of back slapping!
