Yesterday at a press conference in Japan Nintendo lifted the curtain on the new DSi. The DSi is simply the newer version of the Nintendo DS, and it’s got itself some nice little improvements!
Here is a Round-Up of the Improvements on the Nintendo DS:
- Combined size of the screen is now 3.25 inches, up from 3 inches
- The overall size of the device is down 12%
- Wireless capabilities and built-in browser
- An online DSi shop will allow users to purchase DSiWare
- SD card slot - pictures, music and games can now be put onto the device
- 2 cameras on the device, one is on the outside of the other is on the inside
The Nintendo DSi will cost $179 and comes in both black and white. It will be released in Japan on November 1st 2008. It will reach America next year - and who knows for the UK!
I’ll keep you posted on developments and when it is available to buy.
