This is the new Samsung Galaxy Tab, and very good looking it is,Tablet albeit very very similar to the iPad 2. It is available in stores across Britain this month – just in time for Christmas!

I has a 10.1" 1280 x 800 (WXGA) TFT display, 1GB (RAM) and the latest Android Honeycomb operating system. It weighs just 565g. If you wish to capture video the rear camera captures footage at 720p. It takes photographs at 3.2MP, and includes an LED flash to help out in low light.

Samsung have created a number of videos to demonstrate their new gadget. Here is the always smiling Cat Deeley talking about it, and describing what she likes most about it. The video is a smidgen cheesy, but you get a good sense of how the tablet is to hold by the way she handles it. Watch it now:

It is clear to see why many early reviewers are predicting this will be the best rival to the Apple iPad
