Maxell says goodbye to discs manufacturing

Here’s the end of Maxell’s CD, DVD, Blu-ray and HD DVD discs production by outsourcing it to other manufacturers. Well, we’re not so sure that anyone else can provide the same unique experience of Maxell tape discs, but we never know. Anyway, the Maxwell brand name will live on.

I’m highly pissed off that Maxell is stopping discs! Maxell is the only brand I trust and use in everyday DVD-R and CDR (Digital Audio) disc for my recorders. I only buy these formats in cases not spindles and trying out other brands to see if they work is a headache and money I can’t play with! Wal-Mart won’t take back blanks when they are opened (At least I think they don’t?)!

They sure left the most important part of disk which will be in the future onlike to sony will there be better technology than this or just continueing the cd-rw.

A may say tape is a really good source to start with but it have to be fast for writing but i know it might be good in eraserbility.

Hi i know the disc is recordable (SVOD) Cartridge.
But why not eraserble or rewriterble (SVOD) Cartridge.
I can’t say it’s not yet there for these disc.
    Bluray is better any way:BD-R,BD-RE.

Hi again this discs are very flexerble, but i will say why its recordable only.
Blue Ray discs are BD-R and BD-RE this i think is better that Maxell never came close.

your disc dvd-rw is the only one I can get to work in my Emerson dvd recorder / player. I have purchased others and they will not work. Do you know of one that will work in my recorder/player? I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide.
