Linksys unveils Wireless-G Internet Home Monitoring Camera WVC54GC

It has been a while since we’ve last told you something about monitoring cameras, but we haven’t had so much to say. So, as you can see from the title, Linksys is bringing a new consumer-friendly wireless security camera for a reasonable price. This camera features 802.11g and 10/100 Ethernet connections and VGA video recorded to a MPEG-4 or Motion JPEG codec. It’s a very interesting camera that can be limited to local network video streaming or opened up to the internet (private or public). Another interesting thing at this camera is that it sports a Security Mode setting that can send video snippets via email, if the camera detects motion in its field of view. Isn’t that wonderful ? Anyway, the price for such a camera is a mere $120.
