Lenovo IdeaCentre A600 All-In-One Desktop – Better Value Than iMac & Dell?

Lenovo All-In-One Desktop A600 IdeaCentreBack in October last year I posted about the Dell XPS One and how much I loved it, I also love the Apple iMac. I am a big fan of All-In-One desktops so I always have a cheeky grin when a new one is launched.

Introducing the Lenovo IdeaCentre A600 All-In-One Desktop!

It only takes one glance to appreciate it, what a beauty! Click the image to enlarge. It has a 21.5-inch frameless HD screen (1920×1080) so it is smaller than the Dell (24-inch). It will arrive in March and cost $999, that’s $700 cheaper than the Dell XPS One and about $200 cheaper than the Apple iMac.

Here are the key features of the Lenovo IdeaCentre A600

  • Integrated speaker system includes a bass sub-woofer and Dolby® Home Theatre™ audio certification
  • 4GB of RAM
  • 1TD harddrive (1000GB), could store hundreds of films, songs etc
  • High-performance mobile processor technology meaning it runs whisper quiet
  • Wifi enabled
  • Digital TV tuner
  • Facial recognition technology allows users to use their facial image as a logon password
  • Blu-ray player (optional)
  • Microsoft Vista Media Center to record TV programs (optional)
  • First-of-its-kind 4in1 remote controller (optional)

The spec of course runs deeper than this but you will be here all day if I list the lot! You can see the full spec here. I think All-In-One desktops are going to continue to grow, some predict the future of desktop PC’s is in the All-In-One form.

Do you think the Lenovo IdeaCentre A600 is better value than the iMac and Dell XPS One?
