In February came the launch of the new HTC Magic, the second phone to be based on the Google Android platform. It is bound for UK shores “sometime around next month”, Vodafone has said.
It is unlikely a mad rush, as seen with the G1, will happen again but if you want one – get in early!
The HTC Magic has a 3.2″ touchscreen, it also features Wi-Fi and GPS. However it does not have a slide-out keyboard as seen on the G1. In my opinion the Magic is a much better looking phone then the G1 with capabilities reportedly being quite similar. Still no prices as of yet, though being an upmarket smartphone don’t expect it to be cheap.
