Fujitsu, one of the major calculus system producers wordwide, has announced the first hard-disk with a 320 GB storage capability for portable computers. The new series MHZ2 BH uses the perpendiculary storage technique and a planetary rotation system of 5400 RPM.

The SATA interface guarantees a reading speed of aproximatively 300 Mbit/s, and the reading/writing delays are of about 12 ms, respectively 14 ms. Available from february 2008 at a unspecified price tag, the Fujitsu hard-drive has a 1.9 W consumption rate in work mode and 0.6 W in idle mode.
