Kitchen and home appliances are one of those things you can easily save a few quid on and just buy cheap, but the nature of them means you use these electricals most days. So paying for the best can save you time and mean better food/drink. Another important electrical good is the cordless kettle, this is a review of the Delonghi stainless steel model code KBH 3001.
This model is currently for sale to buy on Amazon UK (at time of writing).
Look & Feel
First off; what does it look like? On the right you can see a photo which you can enlarge the view. Scroll to the bottom of this page to also see more pictures. It is has a very simple but smart stainless steel design, very modern but not to contemporary or over the top. The water level indicator features blue and red lighting which looks great in low light but can barely be seen when in a bright room.
The handle is a very good size and grips well in your hand, the spout is also perfectly designed so when you pour the water out it is super easy to get it straight in the cup, no mess!
Boiling Time
I did a test, with 1l of cold water, how long will it take to boil? The result, 2minutes 16seconds. Not too bad, especially compared to the old traditional whistling kettle I had previously which used to take at least over double that!
Features
This is just a run through of the usual spec stuff from the manufacturer. 1.7l capacity, non slip feet, illuminated water indicator, removable and washable scale filter, safety protection, 360 degree swivel base.
Price
You can get much cheaper kettles online, but in comparison this one looks very cool even in non modern kitchens, boils quickly and is from a highly recognised brand so you would expect to be able to keep this product for quite a few years.
At the time of writing this exact model can be purchased online for £unavailable.

Images
Here are some photographs of the Delonghi, I’ve also taken some in low light to show of the blue and red colours. All pictures are copyright owned by Digitpedia.com, they can also be viewed on Flickr.

Review In A Nutshell

Summary: Good looking and fast boiling kettle.
Description: It has a very smart design with the stainless steel outside with blue and red coloured lights. Boils fairly quickly. Is a bit pricey so worth finding in a sale if possible.

I’ve got a stainless steel one made by GE but it takes forever for it to boil. I’m looking to replace it.
