Bluetooth celebrates its 10th birthday

Across time, Bluetooth technology managed to become the most preferred short range wireless solution worldwide. Now, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (Bluetooth SIG) celebrates their 10th anniversary by throwing itself a little party, so let’s raise our glasses for a toast.

If we consider that SIG started with just five members and now they have 10,000, we’ll all share the same thaught : it was a heck of a decade for Bluetooth. The team grew and 10 years after their launch, wireless headsets have become the standard that come to countless products covering hundreds of product categories. A total of over 1.5 billion devices have shipped embeded with that now-famous stylized “B”. In conclusion, we wish a “Happy anniversary !” to Bluetooth SIG.
