Rumor or not, this is what a lot of people are asking these days. Will Asus launch a new Eee PC ? Well, according to the French site BlogEEE.net, Asus has a reworked Eee PC on the way. It seems that the new model will feature the same dimensions as the original Eee but will have a larger 8.9″ screen. There is no word regarding how faster the processor but the 900 will also pack 1GB memory standard and SSD storage options as high as 12GB. Unfortunately the price (in Europe) for this new Eee has increased from 299? to 399?. Let’s wait and see what the future has in stores.

Now just with the bigger screen, the Eee seems like a much better computer. They should consider using a compact flash card reader on the next model so that you can use microdrives for high-use file i/o. Flash memory can wear out very quickly with a standard OS on it, such as windows or unmodified linux, so the option for something more stable would be good.
